Put all the ingredients (except the syrup) in a bowl and mix and then knead until you get a consistent and compact dough that is left to rise until it doubles in volume. Divide into approximately equal pieces and make octopuses and place them in the tray of the stove in which I put baking paper. Leave to rise again for 20 minutes and place in the preheated oven at 200 degrees until golden brown.
Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by mixing water with sugar and simmer for 15 minutes, then when the martyrs are ready, remove and put the syrup with a spoon on each martyr and put walnuts on their surface. Optional cinnamon.
