Lentil soup is a nutritious, flavorful and very easy to make single dish. Ideal to serve during the cold winter days, it is a dish that I prepare at least once a week, especially in the vegetarian version without the addition of bacon, in this way we also keep the calories a little at bay;)
Between legume soups, the lentil soup it is my favorite, energetic and rich in proteins, alone or with the addition of pasta is one of my favorite dishes.
If you use already boiled lentils (thank you mom for having them prepared in advance: *), in about twenty minutes you will have the dish ready to bring to the table that will warm you at the first bite.

How to make lentil soup
Brown a clove of garlic and the diced bacon in a pan with a couple of tablespoons of oil. Then add the tomato puree, add salt and cook for about ten minutes
Now lift the garlic clove and add the boiled lentils
Stir, then cook for another ten minutes. When cooked, season with salt and add black pepper
Then serve the lentil soup with toasted croutons.
