The royal ice (Royal Icing) is a compound based on egg whites and powdered sugar that is used in pastry to decorate and glaze biscuits, sweets and cakes. The realization of this recipe is very simple, the use also, you just need to have a little imagination and dexterity to be able to create decorations, writings, and stencils on your desserts to enrich them and make them special. Unlike water glaze, the royal icing being denser it is ideal for writing or drawing as well as for glazing them.
How to make royal icing
In a bowl, start whipping the egg white
Add the sifted icing sugar and mix well, then add a few drops of lemon juice and mix well.
The royal ice must have a smooth and firm enough consistency
Divide your royal icing into various bowls and add a few drops of dye in each one, then put the icing in the pocket with a spout and use it to make your decorations.
