There yogurt cake is a super soft dessert, prepared in 10 minutes and brushed in one evening. Thanks to the addition of yogurt in the dough, you will get a sweet with a particular lightness, you can serve it for breakfast or snack or you can use it as a base and then fill it with the cream of your choice. Not to be confused with the 7 jar cake, prepared with traditional yogurt among other things, and the yogurt cake without eggs, this simple dessert can be enriched with chocolate flakes in the dough, but I assure you that it is delicious even so.
These days I am a bit out of phase, I am fighting against the flu and the fact of not being able to stay warm in bed to rest does not help me but unfortunately when you work on your own it is like this, I just have to hope that it passes quickly too because I'm afraid of infecting Elisa and never let me relapse: S
If you want to prepare this yogurt cake this morning, know that it will take you just 10 minutes before you can bake it and thus perfume your whole house, to finish it instead it will take just a couple of tastings because it literally melts in your mouth!
How to make yogurt cake
Beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, it will take about 10 minutes.
Then add the oil and the Greek yogurt while continuing to whip
Now add the flour, starch, and yeast sifted and whipped to the mixture until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Finally, add the grated lemon peel and vanilla essence to the mixture.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mold or lined with parchment paper. Bake the cake at 180 ° C in a preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes in a static oven.
Once cooked (always do the toothpick test to check that the center of the cake is well cooked), take it out of the oven, let it cool and remove from the mold.
Sprinkle the yogurt cake with vanilla icing sugar and serve
