These wurstel flowers are an easy and delicious snack that I made last week for an aperitif. Just a roll of puff pastry and some sausages to bring a delicious appetizer to the table, I find them very cute. Well friends, as I told you yesterday, I am in Tuscany, in Montepulciano for my food and wine tour. This morning the first tour of the cellars and the tasting of the noble wine of Montepulciano awaits us, despite the bad weather the colors of the landscape of the valley in which I find myself are beautiful and I hope it does not rain too much so that I can walk with more serenity to discover this fantastic region. How to make wurstel flowers
Unroll the puff pastry roll and place the sausages on top, well spaced from each other.
Cut the pastry around the frankfurters to a size that is able to wrap them inside
Roll the pastry around the sausages.
Cut each covered sausage into 7 pieces, being careful to leave the sheet together on one side.
Gently turn all the sausage pieces one at a time to the left.
Then arrange the pieces to form a flower, with a central piece and the other 6 around.
Move the flowers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the rustics with a little beaten egg or milk
Then cook the sausage flowers in a preheated oven at 220 ° for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
