The Superman cake is the dessert I prepared this year for Father's Day, it was days that I thought and thought about something special to do this year together with Elisa to celebrate my father and Ivano, then I got enlightened . What better than a superman cake to celebrate fathers, real super heroes, especially for us daughters? Now that I am an adult and I see Elisa and the relationship she has with my husband, I am increasingly aware of the fundamental role that my father has had in my life, it is he who taught me to be independent, not to be afraid, and that he gave me confidence when I was by his side, no monster is so scary when you are in your dad's arms and then, a Superman cake seemed perfect to celebrate our super heroes. As a base I used my yogurt cake, soft and spongy, ideal to be used as a base without having to wet it, and for the filling, nothing more simple, nutella and white chocolate curls. If you want to prepare this cake for Father's Day or for the birthday of someone special, here you will find the template to cut out and below a photo tutorial on how to prepare the superman cake. So I leave you to today's recipe and my sweetest wishes to all the fathers, especially the superpapà;)
How to make superman cake
Whip the eggs with the sugar and salt until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Then add the oil and the yogurt, continuing to whip.
Add the flour, starch, sifted vanilla and yeast to the mixture, and grated lemon peel.
Whip until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mold.
Bake at 180 ° C and cook for about 40 minutes.
Take the cake out of the oven, let it cool and remove from the mold.
Put the cake to cool on a wire rack upside down.
Once cooled, cut it into two discs.
Fill it with nutella and white chocolate curls.
Then cover with the other cake disc.
Glaze the cake with the whipped cream.
Roll out the red and yellow sugar paste into a thin sheet, then cut out two shapes with the shape of the superman emblem.
Leave the yellow sheet whole, the red one cut it out internally obtaining the S of Superman.
Overlap the two shapes by attaching them with a pin of water
Then from the red dough cut out the writing to be placed on the cake with the letters
Roll out the blue dough instead forming a large circle to cover the whole cake.
Help yourself with a rolling pin to transport the dough onto the cake, then with the help of a smooth spatula, make all the sugar paste adhere to the cake.
Cut out the dough along the edges and cover it with colored sugar paste balls, alternating the various colors used.
Now place the Superman emblem and the letters that form the word super dad on the cake, making them adhere to the surface of the cake with a pin of water.
And here is the super man cake for your super dad.
