There pasta with mussels and pecorino it is a surprising first course. The idea of merging the spaghetti with mussels the cheese might initially seem a bit strange, but I assure you that the pairing was perfect. Mussels are very easily combined with many ingredients and I love discovering new ones every time. This dish, at the moment, is one of my favorites, strangely my husband Ivano also likes it, so I can prepare it even when we are alone and I want a simple dish to make but with a particular taste.

How to make mussels and pecorino pasta
Carefully clean the mussels, if you don't know how to do it, follow the guide here.
Brown the garlic in the oil in a large pan.
Then add the mussels.
Put a lid on and wait for them to open.
Now remove the mussels from the shells and set them aside with a part of the filtered cooking water.
Mix the pecorino in the remaining filtered cooking water.
Once the pasta is cooked in plenty of lightly salted water, drain it al dente.
Then move it to the pan with the mussels and stir in the prepared water and pecorino, pepper and basil.
Your mussels and pecorino pasta is ready to be brought to the table.
